Saif-Kareena’s marriage on 16th and reception on 18th October!

Finally the wedding between actor Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor is happening on October 16^th.  The restless wait of millions is going to be over; though official announcement is yet to come in spite of the fact that the wedding is just five days away, but we, after getting news from several sources regarding hotel booking and the most believable evidence to us is the invitation cards, which have been distributed into some close friends and relatives, mentions 16^th October as the marriage date, so without any confusion we can say now that the much-awaited wedding ceremony is occurring on 16th of this month.  As we had earlier informed you that it’s going to be a very low key private affair; Saif Ali’s mother Sharmila Tagore also cited that couple of months back, both the Pataudi and Kapoor family are doing their preparation works silently without making fuss.   The marriage ceremony will take place in Bhopal, Saif Ali’s ancestral city, for that three five-star hotels have been booked from 13^th to 17^th October.  However reception will take place on 18^th, a day after the wedding; reception venue will be Mumbai and for that a hotel has been booked in Juhu.  On wedding day, Kareena will wear her would-be mother-in-law’s wedding dress.  And rests of her outfits are being designed by ace designer Manish Malhotra, who is also a close friend of Kareena Kapoor.
Kareena after her break-up with actor Shahid Kapoor some five years back, she fell for Saif Ali Khan.  And since then they have been in close relationships, which is finally reaching the climax point as the stars are finally tying their knot.  We wish a very happy conjugal life to both Kareena and Saif.

‘English Vinglish’ premiere! Bollywood’s stars attended with their spouses!

‘English Vinglish’, which released on 5^th October marked debutant director Gauri Shinde’s promising entrance in the film industry and actress Sridevi’s vibrant comeback after a long sabbatical.  The film’s premiere, which held on the evening of October 4 at PVR in Goregaon, a western Mumbai suburb, witnessed the Bollywood stars dazzling with their spouses like never before.  Starting from Bollywood’s first person Amitabh Bachchan to actor Sanjay Kapoor everybody attended the premiere show with their better halves.  Actress Ayesha Takia arrived with her restaurateur husband Farhan Azmi; Sonali Kulkarni with her husband Nachiket Pantvaidya; Shilpa Shetty with her hubby Raj Kundra.  Madhuri Dixit too arrived with her doctor husband Sriram Nene at the premiere show, and became the centre of attraction in a moment.  Director Gauri Shinde, who was looking sweetly smiling all the time, arrived with her director husband R. Balki.  And Sridevi, the lead actress of the film came with her hubby Boney Kapoor and two daughters Jhanvi and Khushi.  The leading ladies like Vidya Balan, Bipasha Basu too attended the premiere; however they had no boyfriend with them, whereas, actor Dino Morea turned up with his ladylove designer Nandita Mahtani and sizzling Sonakshi arrived with her mom Poonam Sinha.
 After the premiere show finished, everybody praised Sridevi’s acting and Gauri’s style of direction with good words.  ‘English Vinglish’, as per latest is doing very good at the box office. So the good words sometimes mean business, at least in case of ‘English Vinglish’, it proved true.

Amitabh used KBC for promoting ‘English Vinglish’?

There was a special episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ on Sony Entertainment, which aired on last Sunday, 7th October, 2012, where film actress Sridevi and debutant director Gauri Shinde were present as celebrity contender for the mega game show.  As you know, Bollywood’s legend actor Amitabh Bachchan has comeback to his earlier role.  The mega quiz show was started with Amitabh as an anchor, later Shah Rukh Khan was roped in replacing Amitabh for the third phase of the show, but in respect of TRP, Amitabh definitely scored better than SRK and so when Sony settled to air the show for the fourth time they called back Big B again, and since then Big B has been the one and only choice for hosting the show gracefully.  Now the show has stepped in its 6^th phase.

Inauguration of IFFI: It’s finally Akshay Kumar, not Amitabh Bachchan!

It’s finally Akshay Kumar, who will be cutting the red ribbon to open the 43^rd International Film Festival of India to be held in Panaji from November 20 this year.   As per latest, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan was also in the race of inaugurating the 10-day long film festival, however the organizer finally zeroed in on Akshay Kumar.  As per latest, Akshay has agreed to inaugurate the gala festival.  The central government’s information and broadcasting ministry funds the lion part of the total expenditure, and the Goa Government, which has been organizing the festival since 2004 funds the rest.  Vice chairman of the Entertainment society of Goa, Vishnu Wagh, said this year the festival will be a much grander event, as the festival could be opened at river jetty in the city instead of a usual indoor inauguration.  And as he said, this year more than 2,500 people will be attending the festival making it a huge event ever, because every year only 1000 invitees attended the festival.

2002’s hit-and-run case: Court rejected Salman’s plea!

Court rejected Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s plea seeking permission to sell his controversial car Toyota Land Cruiser, which he was driving and had allegedly hit and run over persons sleeping on a pavement in suburban Bandra killing one and injuring four on September 28 night in 2002.  The actor after the incident was booked in the charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder under section 304 part II of the Indian Penal Code.  However the Bombay High Court had rejected the section, and had suggested police to frame charge under 304 A of IPC (rash and negligent driving) instead of 304 part II. Earlier this year, the police had again sought that Salman be tried for more serious charge of ‘culpable homicide not amounting to murder’.  The application has yet not accepted; in the mean time Salman had filed a plea at Bandra metropolitan court seeking permission for selling his car as he doesn’t need it any more.    However court rejected the star’s appeal citing that the car is an evidence in the case and the trial is not over.  The trial started in 2005.

Shah Rukh and Katrina to romance in Switzerland for ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’!

After completing shooting in London, they were recently in Kashmir for shooting ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, and now as per latest the film’s two lead stars Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif are heading to Switzerland for shooting a romantic track for the film.  This film will be Yash Chopra’s last directorial venture, as the veteran director recently declared his decision of taking retirement from film direction.  And to make his last film memorable one, almost all the cast and crews are trying their best.   Especially the song scene, which will be featured on SRK and Katrina in the exotic landscape of Switzerland, is going to be the last shot for Yash Chopra to take as director, and so all the unit members have concentrated to make the scene splendid and a moment to cherish for long. Yash Chopra’s elder son Aditya Chopra, who is one of the assistant directors of the film, has decided to use multiple cameral and shoot the scene from various angles, giving it a multi-dimensional feel.  This film has Anushka Sharma, besides SRK and Katrina.  It’s a love-triangle, where SRK will play an army officer.  At present Katrina is busy shooting ‘Dhoom 3’, which is also a Yash Raj Film production, in Chicago.  At per latest, soon Katrina completes her Chicago schedule, she will be heading to Switzerland straight away for shooting the romantic track with Shah Rukh.  ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ is scheduled to hit the screen on Diwali this year.

Asha Bhosle’s daughter cremated!

Eminent playback singer Asha Bhosle’s daughter Varsha Bhosle, who committed suicide yesterday in her residence, cremated at Chandanwadi crematorium in Marine Lines at early morning today.   56-year old Varsha had earned fame in singing and writing columns.  Mumbai police is clueless about the suicide.  But Varsha was reportedly suffering from depression, which could perhaps be a reason for Varsha ended her life by shooting herself. Asha, who was in abroad for attending an award ceremony, rushed back as she learned about her daughter’s suicide at her own residential apartment Prabhu Kunj on Peddar Road in South Mumbai

Ranbir-Katrina-Deepika triangle to be featured in ‘Silsila’ remake!

In 1981, Yash Chopra captured the real life love triangle of Amitabh, Jaya and Rekha in film ‘Silsila’.  ‘Silsila’ was a huge hit that time.  The film successfully depicted the real life chemistry on silver screen.  And now, as per buzz, the house of Yash Raj Films itself is planning to remake the romantic love triangle.   If everything falls in place, in the remake Ranbir Kapoor is to be seen playing Amitabh’s role; Deepika in the role of Jaya and Katrina in vintage Rekha’s role.
Like the original ‘Silsila’, in remake also the three lead actors (if Ranbir, Deepika and Katrina finally roped in for the film) are in relationship hitch in real life and they will have to depict their feelings on reel.  Will they be capable to do that or not, only time can say.

Mani Ratnam roped in Aishwarya for his next is a rumour!

Refuting the buzz that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been roped in for Mani Ratnam’s next, based on Daphne Du Maurier’s famous novel Rebecca, Mani Ratnam’s wife Suhasini said it’s wrong and baseless.   "Mani is currently focused on Kadal, which still has seven days of shoot left. He will decide on his next only after this film releases. It will take him eight more months after that to write his next script. So, any news about his future project that comes up in this time period is false," said Suhasini straightaway.  Mani Ratnam’s spokesperson too denied the news calling it’s a rumour. “Mani sir is currently busy with he post production work of ‘Kadal’. He’s yet to decide on his next.  The stories doing the rounds about his next film with Ash are just rumours.”
However we couldn’t contact Aishwarya, who’s presently in Chicago, for her reaction.  However some sources still doesn’t want to distrust the news; according to them once Mani Ratnam’s ‘Kadal’ gets completed, he will start working on ‘Rebecca’ and in the name role, Aishwarya is his natural choice.  If everything falls in place, this will be Aishwarya’s comeback film after a long hibernation.

Aishwarya hasn’t changed her mind about Katrina and Salman!

So many days have gone after Aishwarya parted ways with Salman Khan, but the Bachchan Bahu has not changed her mind about her old beau.  Aishwarya, since her break-up, always tries to stay miles away from Salman.  Though Aishwarya has no direct feud with Katrina Kaif, but as Salman’s ladylove, Aishwarya tries to maintain a safe distance from Katrina.  As recently on the sets of ‘Dhoom 3’ in Chicago, when Aishwarya bumped into Katrina, only a cool-smile exchange took place between them.  Talking is far from imagination, but as per the persons, who were present at that time, the two actresses even didn’t say hi-hallo to each other. When asked both Katrina and Aishwarya avoided answering the question.  Though, Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek has no problem in getting along with Katrina.  In ‘Dhoom 3’, Abhishek will be seen sharing screen space with Katrina besides Aamir Khan and Uday Chopra. Only a month’s shooting has been completed.  There are two more months to shoot in Chicago.  Few days back Aishwarya landed in Chicago with daughter Aradhya to join Abhishek, who was staying alone for some time whereas other leading actor Aamir was accompanied by his wife Kiran and son Azad from the very beginning itself.  According to insiders, Aishwarya is freely mingling with Aamir’s wife, but even on continuous insistence of her hubby Abhishek, Aishwarya is not ready to change her mind about Katrina.  Surely the cold vibe is hard to vanish any day.

Priyanka charges 1 crore for …..!

Priyanka Chopra started her career as a model.  Walking on the ramp wearing outfits of fashion designers was her one time forte.  But these days her focus seemed to have been shifted to some other area and doing catwalk on the ramp is now just a waste of time to her.  Why it wouldn’t be? She at present is one of the frontrunners in the race of number 1 in Bollywood.  Her last two films ‘Agneepath’ and ‘Barfi’ has done so well at the box office.  What’s more, ‘Barfi’ has got nomination to Oscar as India’s official entry in the best foreign film category.  And in the very film ‘Barfi’, her acting in an autistic girl’s role has received lots of critical acclaims; naturally she would like to concentrate on doing films only.  Recently when the organizers of a fashion event approached her for doing ramp-walk in the event to be held in Delhi, Priyanka merely disappointed the organizers by charging a hefty 1 crore amount for the job. When Bollywood stars’ usual charge is not more than 30 lakhs, there Priyanka by charging 1 crore she just made it clear that she is no more interested in catwalk or like in spite of the fact that she’s the brand ambassador of the event. Priyanka, who recently released her solo album ‘In My City’, may take some time out of her packed filmy schedules for doing such more albums in future in interest of getting fame as an International singer, but she will have no time for doing ramp-walk.  A close source too endorsed the same view, saying, “Priyanka is in India only for a day for her prior commitments. She will soon be in Los Angeles to shoot for her video. There is no question of her walking the ramp at all.” Also if the grapevine is to be believed, Priyanka is rooting in Los Angeles especially for ‘Barfi’ so as to raise more awareness for the movie. Priyanka is truly flying high.  Right!

Sexy actress Parineeti Chopra’s affair with director-producer Yash Chopra’s younger son Uday Chopra is now a matter of past, as the beautiful lady is presently being spotted here and there with director Manish Sharma of ‘Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl’ fame.  If the buzz to be believed, the two have been dating since the day of ‘Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl’ shoot. In that film Parineeti played a very important role.  Both Parineeti and Manish said they are good friends but on asking whether they are in love, they keep mum.  But the buzz about their affair became stronger when Uday Chopra denied his relationship with Parineeti and Parineeti too ruled out the rumor publicly.  So finally where does their much-talked about affair stand? Shah Rukh received award from Sonakshi!

The 2012 Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA), which held on October 1 at Yash Raj Studio in Andheri, witnessed a gala moment when Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan received the Film Song Of The Year award for his film ‘Ra One’ from Bollywood’s latest sizzling lady Sonakshi Sinha.  The two were seen hugging each other compassionately for a short while.  Sonakshi, who debuted in ‘Dabangg’ opposite Salman Khan, is yet to do a film with Shah Rukh.  Buzzes are there, SRK is keen to sign up Sonakshi for his next production, where he himself wants to play the male lead opposite Sonakshi.
Any way Parineeti Chopra, who performed a sensuous number at the event, hosted the awards ceremony with great confidence; actor Saif Ali Khan joined her as co-host.  Besides Shah Rukh, there was eminent music director A.R. Rahman, who received the Best Background award for Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’ and also he’s rewarded with a Special Recognition award for having completed 20 years in the music industry.  Singer Nandini Sirkar won the Best Female Playback Singer award for her song ‘Bhare Naina’ from ‘Ra. One’, whereas the ace music composer duo Shankar-Ehsaan and Loy were awarded with The Best Music Arrangement award for their song in ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’.  Vidya Balan and Nargis Fakhri are the few among many Bollywood biggies who graced the event at the extravagant evening.  Sonakshi and Ajay, who will be seen together in forthcoming ‘Son Of Sarder’, set the stage on fire by shaking their legs to a hot dance number on the award show.

Speculation on Saif-Kareena’s marriage venue!

If the grapevine is to be believed, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s marriage is just thirteen days away from today.  Though no official announcement has come yet, but as Saif Ali’s mother Sharmila Tagore hinted some days ago that the marriage date could be 16^th or 17^th of this October, and also she forecasted about the possible marriage venue – Mumbai and Delhi as possible reception venue, now the question is that whether the tinsel town is ready to host the marriage ceremony or not.  However Saif and Kareena both are keeping mum on the question of their marriage and meanwhile a section of media has begun spreading buzz that Saif Ali’s ancestral house, Pataudi Palace in Bhopal is all getting ready for hosting the marriage.  The Pataudi Palace is now run as a hotel, namely Neemrana, if the buzz is to be believed the palatial hotel is now being renovated ahead of the marriage and for that the booking too has been put on hold till October 25.  Though the buzz couldn’t be confirmed by any source, but about the renovation of hotel, hotel manager confirmed saying, “it’s a routine work”.  However when asked whether the renovation is being done for marriage purpose, the manager said he didn’t know more than that. Ok we too are in dark until Saif or Kareena breaks silence on talking about their D-day.

Aishwarya to comeback! Abhishek gives go-ahead!

Post-marriage, her presence in Bollywood showbiz became scanty.  And after she got pregnant, she became totally absent from the limelight.  Insiders say, it’s totally her in-law’s unwillingness, for which she had to abstain from doing films.  Needless to say, the person, we are talking about is Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.  Aishwarya, who is now mother of a sweet daughter – Aradhya, is all busy taking care of her small baby and ‘big’ hubby Abhishek.  However, Aishwarya for some time past had been in search of some breathing space beyond her family and in-laws, where she feels desirably comfortable and can take a happy breath.  As per latest, Aishwarya’s desire is going to be fulfilled very soon.  If everything falls in place, Aishwarya could be seen facing camera once again and that too for a Mani Ratnam movie.  If the grapevine is to be believed, Junior Bachchan has given his go-ahead to Aishwarya this time. The film would be based on Daphne Du Maurier's famous 1938 novel Rebecca.  And Aishwarya has been approached for playing the lead role.  Actually Mani Ratnam is a person, whom Aishwarya couldn’t say ‘no’.  Because her debut film ‘Iruvar’ was directed by Mani Ratnam; not only that two landmark films in her career ‘Guru’ and ‘Ravaan’ too were directed by Mani Ratnam.  So Bachchans, who are so much preservative about that, even have given their nod, as the person is none but Mani Ratnam, for whom the family has huge regards and respects.
As per latest, the director is now busy making the script complete.  The film may expectedly go on to the floor next year.

Marriage with Aditya Chopra: Rani Mukherjee denied!

Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee denied rumour about her marriage with director-producer Aditya Chopra. However on the question of her relationship with Aditya, the Bengali beauty remained quiet.  Rani’s close friendship with Aditya Chopra has sparked their relationship rumour many a times in Bollywood, especially after Aditya divorced his wife Payal.  Rani and Aditya spotted together in restaurants, caught hobnobbing on the sets, even they have been snapped couple of times while boarding flights together.  Recently there was rumour that in Yash Chopra’s next ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, film’s hero Shah Rukh Khan will be heard reciting a poem, which is penned by Aditya Chopra, who, as per buzz, has written this poem on none but his dearest one Rani.  If the grapevine is to be believed, recently Rani has used Yash Raj studio for promoting her next ‘Aiyya’, and after that the speculation was rife that perhaps Rani has married to Aditya secretly.   When asked, apparently miffed Rani simply rubbished off the rumour.  “I don’t know what people call me behind my back. People may b***h or praise me, but unless it’s to my face, I cannot comment on it. And on record, I say this: I am not married.”
“That is an irresponsible rumour. I am a girl from a respectable family that would take pride in their daughter’s marriage. They don’t need to lie. I have been brought up with lots of love and respect and such rumours affect my family,” said Rani. However she assured that whenever she will marry, she will not do it secretly.  “You can’t hide a marriage.  When I will tie the knot, I’ll tell the world,” quipped Rani.

Hrithik-Katrina paired up again!

After Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif are to be seen together again.  As per latest, Hrithik and Katrina have been signed up for the Hindi version of Hollywood movie ‘Knight and Day’ starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in the leads.  Hrithik will play Tom Cruise’s role and Katrina to be seen in Cameron Diaz’s role.  “We have signed Hrithik and Katrina for the Hindi remake of ‘Night and Day’,” confirmed Fox Star Studios Head of distribution, Vivek Krishnani.  Siddharth Anand of ‘Salaam Namaste’ fame will direct the movie.  As per reports, the film will have different storyline, added with totally different twists and turns of genuine Bollywood genre.
What would be the title of Bollywood version, however has not been settled yet.  As per latest the film may go on the floors early next year.
