Salman to play Amitabh in ‘Kaalia’ remake?

After ‘Sholay’, ‘Don’, and ‘Agneepath’, yet another Amitabh Bachchan starrer Superhit film ‘Kaalia’ to be remade now. As per source producer-director Rajat Rawail, whose last film ‘Ready’ starring Salman was a big hit, is making the remake. Rajat has reportedly paid three crores to Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd for bagging the right of remaking the yesteryear hit. The question of who will play Amitabh’s role in the remake is definitely the talk of the town now.  Rajat, a great fan of Salman, wants Sallu mia as Kaalia; however it has not been settled out yet, as it’s unknown whether Salman could finally take out some dates from his busy schedule for the film or not.  It needs to have talks with Salman first.  As per source, if Salman turned down, Ajay Devgan would be his second choice and if he’s also unavailable, the producer-director could zero in on Akshay Kumar.  At present Rajat Rawail is in search of an able director, after that as per source he will appoint a writing team to give the story of the film a contemporary feel.  “Once it’s completed, I will approach Salman and I hope that he will agree to do it,” said Rajat with hope.
