‘Heroine’ trailer made Dubai people angry!

Kareena Kapoor-Arjun Rampal starrer ‘Heroine’ is in controversy.  Though it’s not in India, but the Bollywood isn’t totally devoid of it.  As the film’s trailer hit the small screen last week showing Kareena doing a press conference in the movie, and where she‘s shown saying journalists, “You people should be writing scripts. If a heroine buys a car, it's given to her by a businessman, if she goes to LA, she's getting plastic surgery done and, God forbid, if she goes to Dubai, you people make her a rate card", and never less to say, the comment, Kareena did in the movie about Dubai has made the citizens of Dubai angry since the dialogue, as per common people of the city has depicted the middle-east city in bad light.  Gulf News, the famous news paper from Dubai recently has published a news story featuring Dubai residents’ anger in this regard.  As per news, the Dubai citizens expressing their disgust as the film’s dialogue suggests that Bollywood actresses who visit Dubai end up as call girls with price tags was sickening. However they want Bollywood films to stop associating Dubai with the underworld and prostitution. Even some people suggested that the filmmaker should do some research about the city. “Women are given utmost respect in Dubai. It's an extremely safe place for them,” gushed a citizen of Dubai.
However Indian film buff Sameer Haider found it nothing wrong.  And stood heavily by the director Madhur Bhandarkar, saying, “When fading actress Mahi Arora (played by Kareena Kapoor) addressed journalists in the film, she was not stating the views of the protagonist; instead she was lashing out at them for cooking up bogus stories - hence the sarcasm in her dialogue.”  However we don’t know, whether Haider’s view can pacify Dubai residents’ anger or not, it’s a million-dollar question.
